Dr. Fox received her undergraduate degree and Master's in Public Health in Epidemiology at the University of Michigan, and her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in 2001, and joined the NHLBI's Framingham Heart Study as a Medical Officer in 2002. Dr. Fox also completed a fellowship in Endocrinology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. At the Framingham Heart Study, her research interests revolve around epidemiologic and genetic aspects of kidney disease and metabolic factors associated with heart disease, including obesity and diabetes. She serves as director of the CT Sub-Study measuring visceral and subcutaneous fat. Dr. Fox is an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, where she has an appointment in the Brigham and Women's Hospital Department of Endocrinology.
