Maura Walker Awarded AHA Grant
Maura Walker, PhD Receives AHA Award
FHS Investigator Maura Walker, PhD has been awarded a grant from the American Heart Association for “Integrative omics approach to elucidate diet quality-blood pressure relations”.
Her research focuses on relationships between diet quality, cardiometabolic risk factors and chronic disease, with an emphasis on dietary fat and fatty acid biomarkers.
Dr. Walker completed her PostDoctoral Research Fellowship at the Boston University School of Medicine, Section of Preventive Medicine and Epidemiology utilizing Framingham Heart Study data.
Currently, Dr. Walker is a Research Assistant Professor of Boston University Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and Boston University School of Medicine, Section of Preventive Medicine and Epidemiology.
