Emelia Benjamin, MD, ScM, appointed associate dean of faculty development ad interim for the BU Medical School, effective 9/1/2025.

The Jay and Louise Coffman Professor in Vascular Medicine, SPH professor of epidemiology, Framingham Study investigator and Boston Medical Center cardiologist is an international leader in the epidemiology of atrial fibrillation. She has been continuously NIH funded since 1998 on grants related to atrial fibrillation, vascular function, inflammation, mobile health and chronic pain. She founded and has co-led seven longitudinal faculty development programs on the Boston University Medical Campus and has a deep commitment to mentoring, sponsoring and coaching faculty.
