FHS News: Dr. Chunyu Liu, PhD, promoted to Professor of Biostatistics

Dr. Liu has participated in numerous projects evaluating risk factors for cardiovascular disease (CVD), including deciphering genes related to blood pressure/hypertension, heart disease and identification of epigenetic factors for blood pressure, lipids, and body mass index. Trained as a statistical geneticist, Dr. Liu has published more than 130 papers and has been cited over 13,000 times. Due to her expertise in analyzing mtDNA variants, she was the lead statistician of the mtDNA working group of the Cohorts for Heart and Aging Research in Genetic Epidemiology (CHARGE). She also has long-standing collaborations within the Framingham Heart Study.
