Pedigrees

As a family tree may be uniquely identifiable by the nature of its branches, under no circumstances may any part of the FHS pedigrees ever be published or otherwise disclosed.

Additionally, the Framingham data may not be used to investigate and disclose individual pedigree structures or individual participant genotypes for the purpose of identifying individuals or families; or explore issues such as non-maternity or non-paternity. These types of analyses can be done for internal quality control but cannot be disclosed in any communication, including presentations, manuscripts, or other written forms.
